AirCast Pro2 (BYOD / BYOM)
- The AirCast Pro2 is a wireless collaboration (screen sharing / BYOD / BYOM) device designed for meeting rooms, classrooms, etc. that allows devices to wirelessly send content to display outputs.
- It supports multiple simultaneous connections, enabling participants to share screens or media from different sources concurrently.
- It offers both wired and wireless inputs/outputs, supporting HDMI input (wired) and wireless protocols (AirPlay, Miracast, Chromecast).
- The unit is reasonably low latency (≈ 80-120 ms), which is suitable for interactive presentations or real-time collaboration.
- It has robust connectivity options, including dual-band WiFi (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz), wired gigabit LAN, multiple USB ports, and also supports PoE.
- Video / Display: HDMI output supports up to 4K (3840×2160) at 60Hz on main HDMI output. For sub output, it also supports lower resolutions (e.g. 1920×1080 @60Hz).
- Wireless protocols: Supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ac WiFi, dual band (2.4GHz & 5GHz).
- Wireless data rate / bandwidth: Up to ~1200 Mbps wireless data rate.
- Latency & frame rate: Achieves ~80-120 ms latency, and video playback frame rate of 20-60 FPS.
- Inputs / connectivity: HDMI input (1× HDMI 1.4 / 2.0), plus multiple USB ports: USB-A (USB 3.0 ×3), USB-B (USB 3.0 ×1), USB-C (USB 3.0 ×1), USB 2.0 ports, etc. Also analog audio output (3.5mm jack), audio input, and control connectors (Phoenix / RS232).
- Simultaneous connections: Up to 16 simultaneous connections (wired or wireless), though with limits: up to 2x via AirPlay / Miracast / Chromecast in wireless mode; unlimited via dedicated apps or buttons.
- Security & control: Supports secure connections (HTTPS, WPA / WPA2 encryption), has web GUI / Telnet / RS232 control.
- Power: Powered by DC 12V/3A, and also supports PoE (Power over Ethernet).
